WHAT IS OUR TIME FRAME?
As of the time of this entry (Summer, 2002) we have already completed A.S.A. certification for Basic Keelboat Sailing and Coastal Cruising, and all course work in Advanced Coastal Navigation. In January, 2001, we sailed an Admiral 38-foot Catamaran through the British Virgin Islands, leaving from Tortola, along with Jeff Johnson and Alex Ercklentz, two guys who actually did sail around the world, from Nov. '96 to May '99, as original crew members of Out Of Bounds. Our Virgin Islands charter is recounted in G.D.'s BVI Journals: The Abrazzo Chronicles, on this site. We can now challenge the A.S.A. standard for Bareboat Chartering, after which we will be certified to skipper a 50-foot boat.

We are gathering support on a consistent basis, and will be fully prepared, from a sailing perspective, to embark on our journey around the world as soon as resources allow. Of course, the sooner we set sail, the sooner we can begin to help.
